Badoo one click payment

I made a payment on the site Badoo, a small payment via paypal.

Later when clicking through the site on mobile scrolling the screen i touched join for life and immediately had a note saying paid.

Firstly, I didn't want to join,

Secondly, if I had, I would expect to be asked how I wanted to pay.

 

I cant see how they held/store/remember my #paypal details and how how to remove them now I know they do this.

 

I immediately contacted paypay and entered a dispute, then contacted #Badoo.

They cancelled the membership.

Now they have said they are taking the payment even though they acknowledged cancellation/they cancelled the membership and the mistake was with them storing payment details.

 

Paypal have closed the dispute and the money has been taken, this is not a small amount an left me in financial difficulty.

 

The system is set up to grab money. What can I do?

was this then taken from your bank account by paypal?

if so do a chargeback to your bank

It was paypal, it's apparently tied to Badoo as I used it previously on there. I didn't now it was saved to just take payemnts.

At the moment it's a pending in my bank, but already missing from balance.

well they will save payment method yes.

and you probably agreed to that upon 1st sign up.

 

ring your bank get a chargeback started.

also cancel any CPA with your bank to PP

and tell them, then WRITE telling them not to allow any payments by any method to PP.

 

then simply remove all funding methods from PP>

there is nothing they can do to you once you've got the successful chargeback.

Will that mean not using PayPal again?

there should be a method of selecting how you pay for anything via paypal in your paypal account. uncheck all of them and then if you want to use paypal use a one off payment method. You dont actually need a Paypal account to do this.

This sounds like what I will do. Badoo have replied and refused refund. You only have to slip using phone one handed and they snatch money.

Will PP not use a collection agency against me?

no DCA nor PP have any powers in the UK and have never done court since their move to luxy.

it cant show on your credit file

nothing they can do to you.

 

a DCA is NOT a BAILIFF on ANY DEBT.

and are totally powerless

Spoke to bank. They said nothing they can do. I'm pretty disappointed.

you told them it was fraudulent didn't you?

I said I want to start a change back, I said it was fraud, passed to 2 departments, and they said nothing could be done. They wish they could.

 

Don't use your mobile one handed and push up the screen with out thinking a cash grab is at work.

they really are a law to themselves or more correctly don't understand chargeback rules...

I don't know what you mean about group?  I don't know where to go next, but the bank said they wouldn't help as did PayPal.
