Please support AgeUK's petition if you disagree with this plan which will affect some of the poorest people in society. They have over 500,000 signatures now but need more.

You have to feel a bit sorry for the BBC who are taking the flak but who were bulldozed into this by George Osborne, whose name we don't necessarily link with this. I wonder if the Evening Standard will start its own petition? 😕

I am Supporting Age UKs petition. as a compromise BBC if they feel they need to charge surely it is logical to Means Test the more well of Pensioners,I accept the BBC will only receive a smaller contribution, but that is a compromise worth proceeding with. There is really  no  reason to have a TV licence at all there are numerous ways of funding this completely incompetent organisation

The licence fee needs to be revoked full stop.   There is no need for it at all in this day and age.  The BBC can easily transition to commercials. But they wont as they make far too much money off gullible members of the public. I mean come on. They made laws which say you MUSt give a private company money for no real reason.

Any advice i give is my own and is based solely on personal experience. If in any doubt about a situation , please contact a certified legal representative or debt counsellor..

If my advice helps you, click the star icon at the bottom of my post and feel free to say thanks

The BBC isn't a private company and it's this kind of misinformation that encourages people to avoid the license fee.
