Hi

I received a letter from a debt collector mentioning an old CCJ about 18 years old at an old address.

They said that they will go back to court to seek for permission to enforce the CCJ

Just need to know how likely are they going to succeed considering the age of the CCJ

They only have a date & case reference number: Surely that is not enough proof

Look forward for any advise desperately

Are you serious that they are trying to chase and 18 year old cc:J? How much was it for?

If they have a case reference number which leads to the judgement then there is certainly enough proof. They would not have to prove the debt a second time.

Which debt collector is doing the chasing?

Hi

Yes it's from Robinsonway and it's for £ 3600 - I search Trust Online and I can't find any record of it.

Is there any way I can put a defense for this when it goes back to court?

Appreciate for any advise

Surely the fact that they haven't touched this for the last 18 years is enough to get it laughed out of court?

We could do with some help from you.

I can't imagine that they stand a hope in hell of succeeding – but you had better not ignore anything.

Please can you post up the letter which they have sent to you – in scanned PDF format please not a photo

Dx

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...
