Thank you for your reassurance, although the panic doesn't go away...

I had some uninvited banging on door recently, which I thought would be my notice of eviction - But was a debt collector from British Gas informing me that they are applying for a warrant of forced entry to fit a meter and I suspect the other visit was from council tax collectors...

Just hope I can pull through this situation and am so grateful for the time and energy strangers have spent offering me assistance!

Am I likely to receive my date of eviction delivered by hand or post?

Hi,  the eviction notice could be either hand delivered or come by post,  I've known it both ways.  Have you tried emailing the court to see if they know when it will be issued and by which method.

Usually the eviction date will be around 14 days from when you receive the notice or sometimes a little longer, I've not known it be only a few days.

Thank you Ell-enn - I didn't want to email the court too much, but will email them tomorrow and ask as above... Hopefully I will receive enough notice to file N244 and defend x

Eviction noticed received.

Confused as now says a different court - Not sure if that means the case has been transferred to different court or just Bailiffs instructed from different court... Do I need to send the N244 to original court on all previous correspondence or the new one?

Ok, Thank you Andy.

My day so far has been consumed with severe panic attack since receiving the eviction notice, uncontrollable crying and several asthma attacks... Literally struggling to breathe and also shaking...

The black circles around my eyes, from stress & sleep depravation are so bad, I look like a panda on heroin!

I will wait for Ell-enn...

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Which court has the eviction notice come from?  are there any telephone contact details on it?

Normally you  would apply to the court where the original repossession hearing took place and where you have been corresponding with.

All previous correspondence has referenced Norwich County Court - Which is some 60 miles away from me.

The eviction notice States at the top of notice Peterborough County Court. It provide no address to send correspondence.... Confirms eviction date & time, and contact numbers for Bailiffs or Dryden Fairfax (Britannias representation)....

Should I contact both original court and new one to clarify where I should send N244?... Really confused...

What is the eviction date?

Ring the bailiffs office number on the eviction notice on monday morning - you'll have to do it early as they usually go out around 9-10 am.

No, but they will be able to advise you what court to send the N244 to.

Did you ring really early ?   bailiffs tend only to be in their office up to 9-10 am  then they go out enforcing warrants etc.

Have you sent your N244 to the court yet?  if not don't leave it too late you don't want to end up with a hearing the day before the eviction date.

OK thanks - was beginning to get worried that we hadn't heard from you.   Did you manage to contact the bailiff office to find out which court to send it to?

I guess the court will call you for payment and then let you know when the hearing is - keep us updated when you know and we can go through the hearing procedure.

I think the Bailiff number was same as generic court number.... I tried and no answer as before... So had to email again and they told me to send N244 to Norwich court - Hope they will get in touch soon!
