Thanks for your advice Andy.

Sorry for sounding silly here, but when you say run 3 copies, do you mean 3 x photocopies of the original filled in form?

I can see the original shall be returned to the Court.

Shall I also send a copy to VCS I take it?

And keep a copy for myself.

Is there somebody else I have missed now?

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Thanks DX

yeah, filled defence Sun night, for Mon morning deadline.

then on Wed a letter popped thru the door, with an N149A fully completed.

With an N180 with top top line only completed. ie stamped with Northampton CCBC, and the claim no written in in pen.

Also the line below says to be completed by defendant with the other options having a line thru them.

everything else is blank.

Does this all look ok?

Was everything ok with the quick turnaround? Was that quite quick compared to normal that?

It's drawing nearer to the deadline now so I'll probably have this posted to the court and VCS tomorrow.

Do I need to have legal cover for this at any stage, such as what you get with car insurance?

I was just thinking if it goes to court does someone attend with me on the day?

that's not really what the term  'legal cover' actually means as such....

have you not been reading any PCN claimform threads in your downtime between the stages of the claim so you get yourself upto speed and self help since you got this claim ….whats next, whats to come and how to deal//////???

I do yeah but I’ve got a brain like a sieve. I just remember reading about checking if somebody had some sort of cover in a post somewhere along the way but I can’t remember where I read it now I’ve read that many posts.

No the stuff you all put on is a brilliant help.

Thanks DX i was a bit hasty posting it up.

Mind you, legal letters are just so unconventional the way key dates just blend into text. In any other kind of letters these dates would be given paragraphs on their own. This is the legal world I am now well and truly entrenched in though!

Anyway, I'll keep reading up on the website, and as you say this forum.

Begging letter.

If they've got you by the short & curlies, why will they accept less money?  'Cos they know they're onto a hammering in court.

We could do with some help from you.

They are on a sticky wicket if they are firing off offers like that, Simple might be getting squeaky cheeks, and want to get something rather than possibly losing and coughing up some costs as well.
