Hi all,

I have Just received a County Court letter for a parking ticket from HX Carpark management / Gladstone solicitors.

I have ignored all letter sent by the above.

But now I have a county court letter?

I parked at Damside Lancaster,

I believe there was a similar post about that parking place not so long ago.

Parked there at night and couldn’t see the signs as it was pitch black & retuned 2 hours later still at night. Please help.

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

we will need to know everything about this so to start off with do you still have all of the letters they sent you from the outset?

You have 12 days to acknowledge the claim and then another fortnight to submit an outline defence ( or admit that you owe the money, some of the money etc)

HXCPM are very litigious but lose any well defended claim.  the more peopel resist the more it costs them to bahave like this and they will then start to use a bit of sense

Re-read HoneyBee's post #5 again.

Fill out the stickie posted by DX and give the experienced on the forum a chance to advise properly. You should also read other threads to familiarise yourself with the subject.

Remember, these Private Parking Companies are not honest in their dealings and just as you would not willingly give up your hard earned to a mugger, why allow a paper mugger do the same?

if you dont want to fight this just pay the money so they have the funds to sue the next poor sod and we will help them instead.

If you do choose to do that dont moan about how unfair it all is though, of course it is unfair and that is why we help people who wish to do something about it.

Fighting takes time and effort but is rewarding because no only do you save yourself a few quid you limit the desire and ability for these bandits to carry on as they are,

the standard amount they ask for has gone up from £80 to £100 in the last 5 years and where do you suppose that the origianl £80 figure came from in the first place?

They made it up.

It will be £200 if they thought people would pay that without a fight.
