be Hi all,

Any help would be grateful,

As an executor to my late mother will I need to get information regarding her bank account, as there appears to theft by a family member, this is to include all notes on the account. The bank have refused to send information under a DSAR as the person is deceased so do I now try to get the information under the Freedom of Information Act.

FOIA wont help you.

no sure as an exec they can refuse an sar.

you are legally entitled to the info.

I did it with my 2 late parents n everything when they died.

who's the bank?

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

  • dx100uk changed the title to bank refused SAR on late parents bank account - am an exec

You need to doublecheck this because I have simply found the quote and copied it without reading its full context

Quote

Can we withhold information about people who have died?

The GDPR and the DPA 2018 do not cover information about people who have died, so you cannot rely on a section 40 exemption to withhold this type of information.
