Hi Magick44

welcome to CAG,

what Parking Company issued the ticket?

ah yeas (Not So) Smart Parking

it's not a FINE its a civil Invoice,

shame you appealed as you identified yourself as the driver.

There are many cases of wrong reg no on here, and a Parking Company is on shaky ground as there is no loss to sue for, so they rely on some Contractual T & Cs on signs.

Ignore anything else from these people unless they send a letter of claim.

Others will be along soon with further advice.

Above all don't worry it can be sorted and you shouldn't have to pay a bean.

We could do with some help from you.

appealing is always something that should only be done with the full fcats at your disposal and that would include the correctness of any signage, wording and timing of the issued charge notice etc.  By appealing you have thrown away all of the safeguards of the POFA so any attemopt at defeating their claim is now down to contract law.

fortunately there is case law on your side so the reality is they dont have an argument that will gain them a victory over you at court but it would be helpful to have a lot more information about the event and the siganeg at the site and the paperwork you have received from the parking co
