my sister was banned from a supermarket,  and look a bit alike.

When I went into the said supermarket using my sisters car and parked in the car park.

I did my shopping they approached me after paying and stated could they look at the receipt.

Which they did.

They then stated I was banned from the store.

I knew they were referring to my sister and not me.

But she's was banned over a year ago.

After showing my ID they then apologied

But I was concerned did her car registration pop up, and that how they thought it was me.

Really odd

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

ok but thought as it was the stores car park, it may alert the store if this reg car came in. Also if they have face regognision it should not have picked me up.  So not quite sure how they approached me then

thanks a lot for the reply.   - they must be on their toes as it was a year ago she was banned, we do look very similar with the exception I have darker hair and a bit fatter. but i do go to the shop now and again but have not been stopped b4.  but I was embarrassed.   the reason she was banned - they said she was acting suspiciously - checked her shopping which she paid for but was on her way to the customer service desk to pay for some flowers.   they said she was taking the flowers. took all her details etc.  and then banned her - she's never nicked anything in her life.  very odd situation

regards flo

  • 2 weeks later...

If that had been me I would have been on to head office telling them what I thought about the stores arbitrary actions and demanded an apology etc. If this is a recent event you should kick up a bit of a fuss at Head Office level and see waht they say. banning people is their right but then the bosses should offer somelogical reason to show why they support the unilateral decision of their security staff, who are often contractors.
