Hi,

I had a CCJ placed on my house in 2006, it dropped of my credit file in 2012 and I paid it off last year in full.

I would like to know the steps that I need to to take to remove the charge from my house. I have a letter from the DCA informing me that the letter can be used to represent debt satisfaction. Do the DCA need to inform the land registry that the order can be removed or do I have to do it?

Thanks.

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Hi yes first check the LR here https://www.gov.uk/search-property-information-land-registry

Its £3 or was he last time I used it :)

Come back if the charge is still showing.

DO NOT PAY UPFRONT FEES TO COLD CALLERS PROMISING TO WRITE OFF YOUR DEBTS

DO NOT PAY UPFRONT FEES FOR COSTLY TELEPHONE CONSULTATIONS WITH SO CALLED "EXPERTS" THEY INVARIABLY ARE NOTHING OF THE SORT

BEWARE OF QUICK FIX DEBT SOLUTIONS, IF IT LOOKS LIKE IT IS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE IT INVARIABLY IS

Hi,

I've had a look at the title plan and there doesn't seem to be any charge against the house.

I assume that any charge wold be listed in section C - Charges Register on the doc?

Thanks.

Actually I have spotted something:

(01.10.2007) Proprietor: BANK OF SCOTLAND PLC (Scot. Co. Regn. No.
SC327000) of St. James's Place Bank Division, P.O. Box 17317, Edinburgh
EH12 1AZ.

Thats all there is. Strange that there is no more info about it. I've spoken to the mortgage company ad the charge still exists against the property. So I guess that I just call up the Natwest who I paid the debt off to via there solicitors, and tell them that the charge needs to be removed?

Yes that's right, it was a loan of approx £24k which I paid back over 12 years (yes there is light at the end of the tunnel everyone!!). And I paid it back DIRECT to Natwest via their solicitors, Irwin Mitchell.

I have emailed IM(now Ascent!) to get in touch with Natwest and tell them to remove the charge.... I guess this is the right way?

Cheers.
