Hi,

I had a CCJ placed on my house in 2006, it dropped of my credit file in 2012 and I paid it off last year in full.

I would like to know the steps that I need to to take to remove the charge from my house. I have a letter from the DCA informing me that the letter can be used to represent debt satisfaction. Do the DCA need to inform the land registry that the order can be removed or do I have to do it?

Thanks.

Hi,

I've had a look at the title plan and there doesn't seem to be any charge against the house.

I assume that any charge wold be listed in section C - Charges Register on the doc?

Thanks.

restriction? etc...

cant you tell HBOS its paid off and to remove their charge?

the dca couldn't careless about it then..its not even in their name

seems like you gave them free money

how did you findout the dca owned the debt and why did you have to pay it off last year?

Thats all there is. Strange that there is no more info about it. I've spoken to the mortgage company ad the charge still exists against the property. So I guess that I just call up the Natwest who I paid the debt off to via there solicitors, and tell them that the charge needs to be removed?

Yes that's right, it was a loan of approx £24k which I paid back over 12 years (yes there is light at the end of the tunnel everyone!!). And I paid it back DIRECT to Natwest via their solicitors, Irwin Mitchell.

I have emailed IM(now Ascent!) to get in touch with Natwest and tell them to remove the charge.... I guess this is the right way?

Cheers.

Spoke to Natwest and they will be sending me a letter which describes the charge being removed, and I will then pass that letter onto my mortgage company. The charge was removed from the land registry last year. So fingers crossed it will be sorted.
