ive just read this thread not realizing it was here after i posted a similar thread today.
i am having the same problem with CLI they are chasing me for a parking fine in Italy from 2014 that i knew nothing about, they are threatening me with a European enforcement order
but when i asked them to email me the order they couldn't as they don't have one.
i actually spoke to them after the 3rd letter they sent and told them i wasn't denying that i was in Italy at the time but was unhappy about the extra cost added to the fine as i didn't know about the fine until their first letter arrived.
they emailed me again today with a final notice that's when i came onto this site for advice, from now on i wont be acknowledging them
Yep they can...you would be surprised what we see here.....and its all down to the beauty of the internet and Forums such as CAG that the this behavior can be shared.
You can imagine what went on before the Internet.
Knowledge is Power.
1.not if you ignore them no. there is no forced right of entry.
2. you can own 2 properties regardless to wherever you reside in them or not.
4. there isn't one.
its very rare LO's can be over turned.
the only thing you could do is SAR them and check their data as you intimate there might be incorrect calculations regarding benefit etc and the LO's amount might be wrong. that might work whilst they sort and check your claims.
but eitherway you obv owe 'something' so it might pay you to get an arrangement going too in the meantime to show goodwill.
and ofcourse avoid NOE's @ £75 each and enforcement feeof £235 from the bailiffs being added if you let this run.
Hi Andy. I am pleased you mentioned that on your message before your last one. I have managed to save the full file as a PDF, which shows at June 2013 on-wards, the account was marked as 'Dormant/Inactive' for six months and then in red 6 (in arrears) until June 2019. This was on Experian. Nothing on Equifax except June 2013 saying 'settled'. So it does show for six years that nothing happening to the account. Then a new account is placed in June 2019 but this time on Equifax, and it then disappears from Experian. So they simply stuck the balance on as a new account. Can a company really be the that sly?
Don't touch them owe me £500 since January 2019 make excuse after excuse. Seem they always have software problems sending money out. Keep saying they will call back or email nothing been chasing it now for 6 mths the phone staff always have the same banter we will chase it up and get back to you then nothing!
