2) the advice was there: use an advocate. The explanation of why, was there, too.

If you are going to snap back at people offering advice: (e.g. dx previously.....), do you think that makes it more or less likely people will be inclined to expend the time and energy to contribute?

Have you asked the Student Loan Company for a copy of your data ? If not, then you should do so. Ask for everything on record.

https://ico.org.uk/your-data-matters/your-right-of-access/

Do you have evidence that SLC advised you that you could not defer in 2014, because your loans were being sold ? If not, make sure you ask for copies of all communications received by them.

I would also make a data request to Erudio. Not sure whether you have ever consented for them to process and use your data. Not sure your original Student Loan application data consents, would cover Erudio making requests for health information and being able to use this or store it. I would suggest that you ask Erudio for copies of any documents you have signed, where you have consented for them to handle your Data under the Data Protection Act and GDPR.

We could do with some help from you.

Why dont you follow the advice that people offer you .

They have alot more experience in shafting the money grabbing DCA,s by using the tools you have to fight them.

Fight the DCA,s not the people that try to help you.. Blame the government for selling these Student Loans for peanuts another example of the Tories helping thier crooked friends.

1 week is not gone quiet..12mts poss

Get that Sar to slc done..prepare!!

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

  • 3 weeks later...

Just to keep the thread updated.

I sent the CAG template letter requesting a SAR to SLC and had a letter back from SLC today saying "We acknowledge your request and will fulfil within the 30 day limit".

Meanwhile I've had another set of threat-o-grams from Erudio warning me if I don't respond then holy ji'had and even jesus christ himself will knock on my parent's door cursing our whole family line to the end of all time.

Ignored.

Three phone calls from a Leeds debt collector phone number too in last few weeks. Blocked. (As I have no other debt so can only be in relation to SLC). Absolute fleecers the lot of them.

If I ever got so desperate to make money I hope I'd sell my soul rather than try to bleed a penny out of vulnerable people on 25 year old debts!! How do these people sleep at night?

How do they sleep? simple. They make millions out of it. Look at link financials director for example.

Any advice i give is my own and is based solely on personal experience. If in any doubt about a situation , please contact a certified legal representative or debt counsellor..
