I don't understand much about drones or their attraction apart from aerial photography. But it seems that airports and the government haven't taken the threat seriously enough. According to this article, there's a piece of kit that can disable a drone.

I see there have been two arrests. Hopefully they have the right people and the disruption will stop.

 

I hope they throw the book at them - what would make someone do this?

I hate those drones. They are too affordable for this and such intsindentsy occur. And in general, I think that it is necessary to make special conditions for their sale.
