    • This letter from the CAG Library - https://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/topic/332444-statute-barred-letter-updated-nov-2019/?do=getNewComment     If anyone turns up at the door again, tell them "In wring only" and tell them to leave - no discussions at all. Stay off the phone as well and, if anyone calls you, tell them "In writing only" as well.   The Stat Barred letter should stop them but I would tell your MiL that someone called about an old debt, but they're trying it on and have no right to persue it. So if anyone calls again, they can be told to leave.
    • Thanks, so if they say he's past his 120 days, I can tell them they are wrong and it's actually 540 days of the relevant card transaction?
    • In June Boris Johnson told the country it was our patriotic duty to go to the pub (and spread the coronavirus): that having been an effective message, the government is now mandating the early closure of pubs and restaurants in what is being called a “curfew”, as though it were the public and not the government who were a bunch of unruly children. - Steven Poole     and Some real-world Facts from around the world - to counter cjcregg alt-facts/no-facts soundbites from the whitewashing house   Covid mutations including more infectious strains and a strain which appears far more infectious in a major US metropolitan area - but it is still likely the case that only one vaccine will be needed - so far.   https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/world/2020/08/coronavirus-five-out-of-six-covid-19-subtypes-are-getting-more-infectious-study.html   https://www.marketwatch.com/story/new-research-indicates-growing-prevalence-of-possibly-more-infectious-coronavirus-strain-in-houston-area-2020-09-24   https://www.news-medical.net/news/20200924/Molecular-analysis-of-COVID-19s-second-wave-shows-mutant-viruses-linked-to-rapid-spread.aspx   https://bgr.com/2020/09/03/coronavirus-immunity-study-iceland-antibodies-duration/   https://www.health24.com/Medical/Infectious-diseases/Coronavirus/covid-19-study-suggests-one-vaccine-would-be-enough-for-all-coronavirus-strains-20200903
    • Morning  I am sorry for this unacceptable delay on my behalf, however I never thought a simple complaint letter would cause me so much stress along with anger towards this company 🙄 however I only have this weekend to get things rolling. I should be back at hospital Monday (as long as they don't cancel on me again) and won't be upto much for a while from then on 🤔 So please bare with me, I need to condense my letter as it's totally long winded and off in points, I'm taking the advice given for prin 6 and 7, but was also considering prin 9,  Trust is also a major part for me here:  yes I did trust they had my interests and I totally relied on their advice and judgement, which I now know was all given with their own interest in mind not mine and for their own benefit and gains, no to assist me in any way.
    • General Form of Judgement or Order received.   Upon not being satisfied that the notice of default was served upon the defendant it is ordered that the claim is dismissed.   Thank you all once again.

    • I’m in desperate need of help

I bought some clothes online in may through Evans and paid through PayPal
returned them all seven days later

I waited the 14days for my refund and no refund came
I put in a dispute through PayPal but I didn’t get any emails to escalate the case - PayPal closed it.
evans said they couldn’t refund the money because PayPal have cancelled the refund because of the open dispute

      I contacted PayPal
they said the dispute had been closed but Evans at no point had attempted a refund.
      fast forward to today

I’ve got copies of numerous messages sent to and from twitter messages as it’s the only way I can contact them
I’ve also contacted their customer service too
all I get is PayPal have cancelled refund because dispute is still open.

I have proved that the dispute is closed
I have got an email saying that if Evans sent the refund they would accept it
but up until the date I got the email they have not once attempted a refund .

I have sent them a letter before court email
I have even offered to have the full refund as a gift card just to get this sorted !

I’m literally at the end of my tether and don’t know where to turn next !

i suffer with mental health issues and this is affecting my health and I’d saved the money for a year to buy these clothes as I’m on a low income .

Hi,

need some advice if possible its for a friend of mine,

she filled in a form for a credit card back in 2001 filled the form in and post it back to the abbey national and in the form she ticked the yes box for the personal protection cover,

she filled the form in the branch,

now she tried to claim misold ppi but they have refused her twice as they claim by ticking the ppi box she understood it was optional and it was her decision to purches the ppi,,

they also claim they sent out policy documents which confirmed the ppi sale and even if this had not happened they still think you would have found benefits from the policy.

can anybody give any advice on how to dispute this please, look forward to any advice thank you.

The new regulations aim to ensure consummers are treated fairly,

both when they buy ppi and when they complain about being mis-sold the cover,

they require providers to talk potential customers through the key features of a policy,

rather than just provide them with some documents giving the information,

while they will also have to be able to show that it was made clear to the consumer that the cover was optional,

so if none of the above then it is classed as missold, so how can a bank ignore that ruling.
