Hi all,

I had a loan with the A&L about 14 years ago and no longer have any paperwork! :-(

I filled out the the PPI query form on the Santander website and got a reply back from them saying they can't find any information about my account.

I have since managed to find bank statements that the loan was paid into.

I'm just wondering if it is worth me doing an SAR with Santander or getting back in touch with them with the dates and payment amounts of when I paid the the loan back. I'm thinking that surely that they would have the interest rate that the loan would have been charged at, at that time and be able to see that PPI was added on top of it, or is that far too simple!

Many thanks in advance for your help folks.

int rate is nowt to do with a PPI reclaim

however

yes

one should always SAR

rather than filling out an invite on any original creditors website

just like that useless resolver tool/website

most OC website links treat replies as totally speculative

and thus reply with a std fob of letter from the office junior or the student on basic wage.

whenever a PPI reclaim is made it should always be done after getting every piece of info you can

and

using the FOS customer questionnaire from the FCA PPI website link

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

if everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's tomorrow

the biggest financial industry in the UK, DCA;s would collapse overnight.

Thanks for the reply.

I'll do an SAR with them. Should I wait for Santander to get back to me before filling out the FOS customer questionnaire?
