Last week on Thursday we got our domestic water bill dated 16th Oct.

This was followed up by a text on Saturday reminding us to pay.

 

On Tuesday we got an email again reminding us to pay.

Yesterday another text reminding us to pay.

 

Is Severn Trent that desperate for funds that they have to hassle you every 24 hours?

Most bills we get expect payment within 30 days and not within 24 hours?

 

Just to add, we do not have a problem to pay the bill and will do so at the end of the week.

is this the yearly bill split into 2 payments?

you know they cannot demand this if you setup a 10mts scheme at the start rather than 2 bulk sums throughout the year

 

water is april to april .

When we set it up there as far as I remember there was no option to have one annual payment.

It has always been two statements.

We did have a water meter installed in 2011 which has saved us a fair bit of money.

Don't like it when they start chasing for money and the bill is not even a week old.

yes they split payments to 2 a year

 

you can pay monthly 1/10 for 10mts if you wish.

 

not a lot they can do about it should you wish to.

This is why I refuse to give email addy or phone number to these companies. usual automated drivel but most aggravating. Even worse is some companies start sending out the texts before they issue the bill because they assume you pay monthly

Many Utility Co's send their bills out using 3rd party mailings which can take up to 10 days for delivery, then by the time you get it there are only a few days left in which to pay.
