I attach a copy of a gym membership agreement, can I get out of it or have I just got to pay up please.

We need more info like :-

 

1. Date you joined the gym.

 

2. Was yours a rolling monthly or a 12 month agreement.

4. If not, please confirm the reason you want/need to cancel.

 

5. Have you been charged any admin fees by DD on top of the agreed monthly gym fees for failed payments.

 

Read other threads here in the gym forum and, if there's anything else you can tell us relevant to your gym case, let us know in addition to the Q's above.

Am I right in the fact that the attestation clause "This is a consumer credit agreement regulated by the consumer credit act 1974" should be added to make it legal?

Gyms are a contract

Nothing to do with credit

DX is right, very rarely is there any credit agreement involved with gym agreements.

 

Best that you answer the Q's 1 to 5 above that I asked.

you have to pay for a mimimum of 6 months and then you can cancel giving a months notice.

if you paid for a year in advance they will refund you the difference as long as 6 months have passed.
