Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Ok so I've just got the judgement through today.

Principal sum 740.79 due 23rd may.

Fixed costs £530 due 23rd may.

I have filled a n245 out and offered to pay 50 per month.

How much is the fee os it £50 na d how do I enclose it.

Regards.

Scandalous costs...small claims track is suppose to offer protection to litigants and be restricted...not more than the claimed amount.

I'm guessing

£315 court fees

£70 fixed costs

£135 lpc attendance

Dont know where the other £10 is from but in total they wanted £1193.80 costs and judge said no only fixed costs.

So the £740.79 did not include the court fees and sols fees...thats the debt net ?

Yes that was the debt net before any court action.

That makes a difference then...so even if you had not fought their application for SO/SJ and even if you did not defend the claim you would have had a judgment and costs of £1125.

Yes that would have been the case but at least it was worth a try.

So is the n245 application fee £50 and does it have to be sent with the application? If so how could I pay it as I dont have a cheque book.

Regards.

Yes it is Dave...you can pay using Debt/CC over the phone to your local county court.....you should also be able to email the N245 at the same time...check with your local CC

N245 completed and handed into court and they said that they would contact me for payment over the phone when they are processing the application.
