Hi guys,

Received a named letter today. Pretty disgusted. Apparently the car was parked there for 12 minutes longer than permitted. We are regular Lidl customers and have a bank statement showing money spent during the 'offense'. Rang customer service, who weren't interested at all in helping.

 

The letter came today, pretty upset by it, especially as money is tight at the moment. Spent time looking through newbie threads here and elsewhere, Would like to email the CEO as I see others have done this, couldn't find it though. Still unsure as to how exactly I should proceed.

 

 

Any advice is really appreciated.

Lidl are pretty good at quashing tickets like that even more so when they are regular customers. I have included a thread where Lidl's did cancel a ticket after their customer wrote and complained

In their case it was not showing their disabled badge.

With you, being 2 minutes over time is a ridiculous reason to issue a ticket.

you should point that out to Lidl's when you write.

 

Ten minutes is regarded as a minimum not a maximum extra time and it should be pointed out to Lidl's that Athena are likely to drive customer's away with that kind of treatment.

 

You are complaining but how many other just pay up and go elsewhere to shop.

Yep, send a snotty letter to Lidl's Uk boss and enclose a copy of your till receipt underlining the time it was issued and tell them that you are minded to return all of their stuff back to them as you didnt expect to be charged for spending yur money with them.

Also get on to their social media and start leaving negative reviews esp if the parking is limited to an hour and a half. It might be worth checking to see if there is anything stipulated about parking in the planning application or consent. there often is and that trumps Athena's signage. If they are wrong in this respect thwen you complain like hell t the council and to Lidl about their CRIMINALITY as that is what it is. you will get your ticket cnacelled then i bet
