I am hoping someone can help.

I currently have a mortgage with Santander.

I lost my job at the ed of March and have been taking money out of my mortgage to keep making the payments in the belief that i would have a job by now.

I have also been diagnosed with depression.

I should be able to make this months payment (after withdrawing money from the account again) and I have only just started claiming Universal credit.

Can I ring the back and ask them if they would consider taking a small amount every month for around 6 months until I can get better and back on my feet.

Thank you for reading and also any replies

You can ask but no guarantee... Mortgage is a priority debt and Satans Bank may push quite hard for either arrears or repo... I would say... Discuss it with them and see what they say.

Make sure you go read the CONC Sourcebook on Arrears (Section 7) - It may help :)

How are your prospects for Job Interviews etc?

We could do with some help from you.

Thank you for replying.

I am not currently in arrears.

Never missed a payment either.

Trying to get a job whilst dealing with depression has been hard to say the least.
