that's what we are here for...

Received letter from solicitor with some info about the pay day loan but not all of it for starters it has wrong address on it , it states they do checks lol.

But they didn't do any not even credit checks they gave first loan and 3 other top up after that without even having one payment being made first loan was £150 then £250 then £350 how irresponsible if lending all that without one repayment being made. .

The letter also says they would prefer if settlement can be done through them or mediation. All interest has been taken off also. So only what was lent is owed.

Not sure what defence can be done apart from irresponsible lending in first place .

Is it best to agree to a settlement out of court now not to get a ccj or fight to the end but on what grounds.

How much would they of bought this debt for anyway.

Is it worth offering them a little payment of original debt .

sorry to so many questions .

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Hi when these companies buy payday loan debts does anyone know what they pay for them roughly?

How can they buy these debts for peanuts but you have to pay the full debt that isn't even theirs?

Should this be legal?

Can you fight court orders on the grounds you don't owe them the debt as the deal wasn't with them in the first place?

Just curious about all this so thought I.d see what the answers are.

Thanks

Hi when these companies buy payday loan debts does anyone know what they pay for them ruffly? Between 5 & 22% depending upon age and also depending upon value of the portfolio

How can they buy these debts for peanuts but u have to pay the full debt that isn't even theirs? Perfectly legal and nothing wrong with it but it is questionable aspect

Should this be legal? Once again - Completely legal to buy and sell debts. Transfer of ownership etc

Can you fight court orders on the grounds you don't owe them the debt as the deal wasn't with them in the first place? You can try - I think our defence for CCJ claims may make a mention about how the company purchased and arent the original creditor but I dont get involved that much so couldnt confirm

Just curious about all this so thought I.d see what the answers are.

Thanks

Above.

When purchasing accounts, they pay very little but attempt to recover the full amount. They sell and buy under a Deed Of Assignment which is a comercially sensitive document between 2 companies to sell and buy the debt.

It contains lots of people's info which you are not allowed to see :( It explains to the buyer that all debts are sold "AS IS WITH ALL FAULTS AND CANNOT BE HELD LIABLE FOR ERRORS". It includes the final payment to the seller of how much they will be paid to release ownership of these accounts...

Basically - You dont stand a chance with the above...

But we can help ... Whats happening? Have you recieved a claim form?

We could do with some help from you.

The court will have offered mediation - It would be advisable to say Yes to it and just say you haven't received all the required paperwork if you havent.

Nope. Law of property act 1925 says all right and obligations can be transferred
