Does a company by law have to apply when National Minimum Wage goes up in April even for temporary worker works through an agency?

the agency has to pay you minimum wage. How they do that is up to them; they can ask for more through the company or they can cut their margin.

Ok thanks, and when one says 3 to 4 months work and then ongoing, is that two different things or should both be assumed same? Or is 3 to 4 meaning fixed for that length or ongoing till further notice?

No idea. Need to ask them cos it is vague!

I do know if you are temping through agency they can let you go any time so I would not count on any length of contract 100%

are the agency saying that you signed up to work for 4 months at a paricular wage and as that will be less than MW for part of it tough luck. Well not so, you are employed at MW so when that goes up then so does your pay rate.
