    • stop paying  they'll never get an enforceable agreement back for a MBNA HFC GM card of that era they were all shredded in the late 90's when PPI reclaiming really took off.   have you checked theres no PPI on your card? as I bet there was..
    • @jb000 - Do you have an entry on your Credit File under searches within the last 30 - 60 days on any of the 3 CRAs saying Lowell Accessed your file to do this Screenshot.
    • After the case - I would suggest that the OP raise it to the ICO - Im pretty sure that the action outweighs the legitimate interest to collect this account under DPA and would be viewed as excessive in this case.
    • Hi Andy  Thnaks for the reply .   I did tell Bradford court they said it was transferred to them and as I atteneded a hearing for change address I knew it had been transferred to them and  I should have sent the defence defence pack to them not Salford .   They told me it was my fault and I should have sent it to them and my only option would to be send a N244 form with £255. I don’t think it’s fair as I replied in time to the only paperwork I had.    The claimant knows my address I attended a change of address hearing. But I didn’t receive an new response pack with an updated address.   They told me Friday a judge looked at it again and said it was my fault , so if I apply to get it set aside can the judge decline ...   the claim is for £620 I want to defend it as I think it’s wrong but don’t want to end up £100s out of pocket .   Thanks
    • Does anyone know how does multiple discrimination claim awards are calculated. For example if someone is claiming for (1) Disability Discrimination (2) Marriage Discrimination and (3) Victimisation will they all be individual awards based on tiers or is one lump sum award if successful? It will also be useful to know how to calculate these awards if someone can help!

    • This is a bit of a lengthy one but I’ll summerise best as possible.

THIS IS HOW THE PHONECALL WENT

I was contacted by future comms by phone, they stated that they could beat any phone contract I have , (I am a limited company but just myself that needs a business phone and I am the only worker)
I told future comms my deal, £110 per month with a phone and a virtual landline, they confirmed that they could beat that, £90 per month with a phone , virtual landline  they also confirmed they would pay Vodafone (previous provider) the termination fee. As I am in business, naturally I was open to making a deal. So we proceeded.
Future comms then revealed that the contract would be with PLAN.COM and the airtime would be provided by 02, I instantly told them that this would break the deal as I have poor 02 signal in the house where I live as my partner is on 02 and constantly complaining about bad signal
the salesman assured me he would send a signal booster box out with the phone so I would have perfect signal.
      so far so good.....
i then explained this is the only mobile phone I use for business and pleasure, so therefore I didn’t want any disconnection time in the slightest between the switchover from Vodafone to 02
the salesman then confirmed that the existing phone would only be disconnected once the new phone was switched on.
      so far so good....

i had a loan with minicredit back in july 2012 for 100 pound.

I get emails from kapama every month requesting £808.

How can they charge 808 pound for a 100 pound loan is beyond me?

What is the best course of action to deal with this?

Ignore them and wait for SB and hopefully gets removed from credit file?

I had contact with kapama in may 2013 regardig the loan through email would this reset the 6 years?

Id be happy to pay them the oringinal agreement of the loan of 125 pound but not the 700 pound in charges on top?

Should i contact them and offer this payment?

Thanks

kapama is MC. The same people run it. They did it a few years ago after they got caught with their collection practices.

basically they levied a ton of unlawful charges to the amount owed while they were minicredit. Then "sold" it to opos/kapama.

Wouldnt surprise me if you keep ignoring it and they offer to remove all charges. Especially when you call them out on it.

Keep ignoring.

let us know if they send anything else. Theyve prob seen the account in a defunct file and thought theyd try their luck.

There ya go then. if they wanted to do ANYTHING, theyd have to post it. Theres a whole lengthy procedure they have to go through.

They NEVER do because they wont want their unlawful charges to be seen in court.
