Ordered a new sink & taps from Homebase which should have arrived on Friday.

Got a call today saying it wouldn't be in this country until mid DECEMBER.

Is it legal for firms to advertise retail goods they don't have???

How widespread is this in other retailers??

it depends if they had it in stock and it sold out, and the site didnt update, or they knowingly accepted an order and misinformed you.

Any advice i give is my own and is based solely on personal experience. If in any doubt about a situation , please contact a certified legal representative or debt counsellor..

Kitchen guy said delivery Friday. Girl on pat desk thought it would be next Friday.

Phone call said December so I went for a refund today. Transpires sink in Italy and all kitchen orders have a significant lead in time.

It would appear Homebase actually stocks nothing and are merely order takers for delivery of goods sometime in the future.

No damned good to me, and I suspect many others.
