I have just been contacted by Lowell portfolio about two accounts. The second one which relates to barclaycard is below.

An account with Barclaycard that I owed around £1500 on.

They said i had a repayment plan set up with them which cleared the bulk of the balance (only £70 left).

They said my last direct debit bounced but I have had no contact from them in the 4 years since the direct debit bounced.

What is the situation with this balance?

it does not show up on my credit report.

If i refuse to pay, can this be added to my credit report (despite the initial default - with the actual lender - being in 2009)

Any advice gratefully received.

It can't comeback once its default reaches 6yrs and removes the whole account

Please scan up the letters they've sent

And stay off that phone!!!

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

They haven't sent any letters to me at all on it at this stage.

So, to clarify, if the whole account has dropped off my credit report they can't chase me for it - even though i was still making payments on it through them until 2013?

This is the same phone call.

I have not spoken to them since the time of the first phone call when i initially posted this message.

I did not know that it was them as I haven't spoken to them in over 4 years.

Unfortunately not.

However, assuming that I am wrong and the balance was not settled 4 years ago as I believed it was, can they take legal action for a balance on an account that I defaulted on with the lender in 2009
