There's no reference or any indication whatsoever of what this relates to, except for the "ipaymypcn" web address, which is enough to tell me this thread belongs in this forum.

I haven't responded yet, and won't be phoning or emailing them. What would be a suitable written response? :noidea:

They are not bailiffs

Its an old private parking speculative invoice

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

So absolutely no danger of a sneaky backdoor CCJ just as I'm about to try to get a mortgage?

block their email address as spam.

You probably had a speculative parking demand and emailed the company in response.

Now they have passed your addy on to their tame rentathreats, who have no rights or powers so can be safely ignored.

We always say never phone or email these companies because you give them a free method of harassing you.

If you have never emailed a private parking co or anyone associated with parking like POPLA then you should report them to the ICO for unlawful processing of your data

As for a response to ZZPS? dont bother, as said they have no interest in any matter

hard to say without knowing when "the event" was, but highly likely as have been in private rented sector for 8 years and had to move every 12 months (on average) for various reasons.

ok well as with any 'debt'

you should always inform your 'creditors' of a move

else you'll get backdoor CCJ's by the dozen.

is there a CCJ risk from this or not?

Should I contact them merely to tell them to send all future correspondence to my current address (or not)? :???:

at some point the rentathreats have got your email address from somewhere

so it must relate to an event that you have responded to unless you put up such info on public social media.

You could respond to the email by telling them that you havent a clue what they are on about and they either spell it out (and risk getting into trouble from the ICO) or write to you formally at whatever address they have on file as you dont believe they have the right email address. for the person they are trying to contact

  • 2 weeks later...

I replied to their email thus:

"Please reply by email or written correspondence. If the latter, please note my address has changed and is now: [my address]"

Their rather irritating reply:

"Good afternoon,

Thank you for your email.

In order to discuss this matter, please confirm your:

Full name

Post code

Vehicle registration number"

This is information they already have, and which vehicle registration number and from when? I don't mind them knowing my name and address but I'm not about to incriminate myself.

the advice was dont contact ZZPS as they have no interest in any matter at all and can do bu**er all.

Ignore them.

As you have responded by giving them your address then let them go back to the originator for anything else.

Stop playing letter tennis with these clowns,

you havent made things any better by giving them your address

because the sole reason for responding was to find out what they know,

not tell them anything and

as the debt isnt theirs they have no obligation to tell their client you have provided any details so you may still yet get a court claim sent to a previous address.

The plus side is their client clearly fails to give them the necessary information to do any damage

so block their email address and see what comes through the post.

Also for the future, read anything you get very carefully as you have done the opposite of what was advised

I've given the monkey my new address rather than the organ grinder, but I don't know who the hell they are anyway.

I understand the advice to ignore and let them carry on dealing with me at a previous address.

I absolutely can not afford a back door CCJ however, and other than said monkey, I don't know how else to find out who the organ grinder is.

Perhaps I should rephrase what I'm trying to achieve.

I've successfully dismissed PCN's in the past using the excellent advice given here. Perhaps due to a recen house move, however, I have very little idea who would have issued the PCN/NTK. I am therefore unable to dismiss them in the usual way. Meanwhile, a CCJ now would just about finish me off.

So, in order to dispose of the original "problem", how do I find out where it came from without at least some brief correspondence with the middleman DCA filth?

so how many of these parking companies did you give your email address to?

None that I am aware of

then you dont know if they are chasing you for anything that is of your doing,

hence the suggestion that you ask them what it was about and seeing what they say rather than giving them more information .

As I said, they may have slipped up and told you more than they are allowed to and you could have seen them off via the ICO.

So, next question,

how many outstanding parking invoices do you have and from when.

Dont be coy about this, we cant help you if you hide things from us.

If the answer is truly none at all then they are chasing the wrong person.

If you recall some from the distant past then it will be one of those and you would be wise to challenge them directly

it is better that you post on this thread as then others can advise as well.

I dont get everything right and would hate to give advice and you take it and it turns out that an error has lead you down the wrong path.

If you want to give me a list of events that may be the cause of this approach to you by ZZPS then yes and I will respond here as usual as the advice wont be any different anyway.

Most of what we recommend is fairly generic prior to a court claim being issued and then we try and get stuck into the detail.

just a reminder that ZZPS was set up by someone who used to be a director of a company that had its consumer credit licence taken away and was told by the FCA that he wasnt a fit and proper person to hold such a licence.

Roxburghe's old address was the same one you get letters from.

When certain people in the parking world are called crooks on sites like this it is not just our opinion but also that of the FCA, Trading Standards the SRA etc

thanks for your PM.

The Peel centre is well known on parking forums,

you can read up about their failiures to win court cases for non working machines and dodgy signage, the parking prankster blogspot has several examples.

As for the hospital one,

pictures of the signage then would be very useful should a complaint to the hospital trust not be fruitful.

Many of the signs we have seen from hospital car parks are terrible, cvontradictory, vague, confusing, incorrect, etc.

get on to the above rather than fussing about ZZPS.

Also get that compaint in to the NHS Trust boss.

Next stop MP and press if they dont instruct parking co to cancel.

All of this has been done before at many different hospitals so no need for secrecy.

There are posters who have had bother at the same hospital so look for a relvant thread, you may find images etc that will save youa job

thanks ericsbrother. I've dug out the PCN's.

No.1) Issued 09/04/2017 at 11:23:04. Reason "Invalid Ticket/Out of Time"

No.2) Issued 10/04/2017 at 11:30:01. Reason "Invalid Ticket/Out of Time"

Both were incurred during visits to my mum who was dying in hospital, the first in response to a distress call from her (I've checked my texts - I texted "On my way xx" at 10:43, the hospital is 30 mins drive away from my home which puts my arrival at 11:13, so much for the 30 minute grace period), the second having arranged to see her consultant at 9am but being made to wait 7 hours.

B*****ds.

I've entered the details onto ipaymypcn.net

PCN No.1:

date of contravention: 09/04/2017 12:00 AM

contravention: Payment not made in accordance with terms displayed on signage

current charge: £170.00 + £5.14 card surcharge - how the hell do they work that out?

PCN No.2 doesn't come up.

A slight case of crossed wires I think

- I've had issues with Excel/Peel Centre previously which seem to have vapourised (touch wood) after a one-line denial letter.

I've narrowed THIS issue down to CE Ltd at Royal Oldham Hospital.

Perhaps the thread title could be changed to reflect this?
