Hi,

Just looking for some advice please.

I recently went to a small local supermarket and had not realised that there was a time limit on the parking session.

There are various signs up but the main entrance sign says "car park for shop users" - see signs for details,

I assumed the car park was for users of the car park and that there was no time limit.

Unfortunately the time limits were displayed on the other signs up in the car park.

I just got a letter with a parking notice, as I was 14 minutes longer that allowed.

The reason I took long was my child was feeling ill and then fell asleep in the car

I stayed in the car with her until she woke up and I then went shopping in Asda.

I paid cash on the day.

Just wondering if I should pay the reduced rate or if I should try appealing.

I don't think I have a leg to stand on

I honestly did not see there was a time limit.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Chris

BPA allow a minimum grace period of 10 mins. PE go by BPA rules. So PE must give the same grace period.

Plus PE conveniently fail to take into account you have to go around the car park, find a place to park, get into a shop, out of the shop, pack the car up, then exit.

Dont pay the reduced rate. DOnt pay ANY PPC that tries to say you need to. You never need to. Theyre simply cowboy clampers under a different guise.

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Hi,

This is a Parking Charge Notice Reminder received via post and evidence by ANPR for parking 14 minutes over the 90 minute free parking limit.

I did not see the signs stating there was a time limit.

As mentioned before,

My daughter was ill so I stayed in the car while she was sleeping and then I went to Asda, making a purchase in cash.

I will look for the receipt which should hopefully be in the car somewhere.

I'd be inclinded to tell them a blind rabid monkey was driving and sadly youd ont know his current whereabouts.

All you want is that popla code off them, so this can be put to bed properly. Pe will pretty much ignore any appeal you make, otherwise they wouldnt make any money off it.

You can appeal and say whatever you like. PE will just ignore it. Say something like aliens from the planet zog abducted you for 15 mins and thats why you were late. You want that popla code and then we can give you the proper advice to get rid of this.
