I have received a parking ticket from Parking Eye.

My wife was driving the car at the time.

 

 

There is a 1 hour limit on the parking and she over stayed by 17 minutes.

They are demanding £85 or £50 if you pay up quick.

 

This is the shortest time limit in Grantham

 

Is there any obligation on my part to inform them that it was my wife driving?

 

How can I check if they have planning permission?

 

 

Can I ask they directly?

when was the retail park built?

If recently then the council will have the planning application and permissions on its planning portal.

 

 

If a few years ago you will have to phone them up and ask them if there were any restrictions or conditions on parking at the time.

 

 

If the council insisted on 3 hours free parking for example

then PE are sunk becuse they cannot offer you a contract for 1hr as it breaks the law (planning consent). You then have a route to remedy via landowner and council.

At the moment I have to the Parking Notice from Parking Eye which I need to pay by the 23/05/2017 or pay the full amount.

Letter was dated the 09/05/2017.

 

Its in my name but my wife was the driver.

 

 

I'll return it to them pointing it should be addressed to my wife.

 

But can they make me name the other driver?

 

 

Can I just say it wasn't me?

 

 

They could probably see it's a woman driving the car.

Andymr can you tell us the date of the parking event?

we know the date of the NTK so what date did it drop on your doormat.

 

Get on to the council about the planning permission and any refernce to parking contained in it, either in their applcation or the approval

 

also tell us what the retail park is as the one given by the postcode contains Majestic wine, topps tiles etc, is that the right place as I see no signs or cameras on google noseygit
