Had BT installed on 4th May.

 

Billed me for £112.81 which is not the issue as it was new installation.

 

Was supposed to have taken the payment from my bank account by direct debit around 12th May.

 

Failed to do so.

 

Got a second bill today saying I missed payment.

 

Now wanting £146.

 

I dont know what to do about this.

 

Any advice?

Have you checked your Bank account to see if the DD is set up? If yes.....

 

Ring them up and ask why they didn't collect the DD and why are they charging the extra £34 for ...(which will be a late payment fee)

The direct debit has been set up well in advance.

 

I am going to phone and make a formal complaint.

 

 

Ha ha, good luck with that!

 

Any complaint you make to them needs to be in writing, they'll tell you anything just to get you off the phone.

 

If they still have access to your bank, via DD, then I'd be mindful of ensuring they don't take out the original fee, with their penalty fee added on!

Who ever heard of someone getting a job at the Jobcentre? The unemployed are sent there as penance for their sins, not to help them find work!
