Hi SS,

In my post #70 above, I asked a specific question. Can you please answer it :-

The question is, Do you think data prior to 2008 would disclose a few; several; or many default charges.

Thanks :-)

We could do with some help from you

Hi Slick, Sorry for late response, I think so Yes I have requested a SAR from BARCLAYS but have so far not had it, all I have had is an apology letter saying they are processing it but are very busy at the moment, I am just constructing a response threatening the information commissioner if I do not receive it. Thanks.

Hi SS,

Chase them up using the right template from The Library - http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?387319-Failed-SAR-No-Reply-40-Days-Have-Expired-**Correct-as-at-October-2013**

Once they've replied properly and you've been through the data, let us know approx how much you've been charged in penalties and how far the penalties go timewise.

Good Evening,

I received this reply from Barclays on Saturday :-

Thankyou for requesting information under the data protection act.

Unfortunately in this case we have been unable to process the enclosed request for the reasons below.

SAR's team have not received the original request, please provide the original request in order for us to process the request,

If you have provided a cheque with your request we can confirm this has been destroyed.

When returning further information to us for a subject access request, please ensure you have included a letter of authority and any relevant payment in your response, as we may require this to process the request

so not your account?

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Hi Sweeney,

In post #77, you said, " I have requested a SAR from Barclays but have so far not had it, all I have had is an apology letter saying they are processing it but are very busy at the moment ..... "

Just send the bank a copy of their letter, which clearly confirms that they HAVE rec'd the SAR request. Tell them you expect a full response within 14 days, failing which you'll raise formal complaints.
