Hi.

Lowell Portfolio Ltd have sent me a County Court claim for a debt for a credit card. The debt is under £3k.

On the form, it mentions that 'The Agreement was later assigned to the Claimant on 16/03/2012'. Not entirely sure if this date is re the agreement between myself and the CC company, or when it was passed on to Lowlife Ltd? Unfortunately, it isn't yet statute barred (6 years).

As I'm working between temp part-time jobs, I can't afford this. What's the best way to contest this claim?

Thanks.

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

acknowledge claim on line at MCOL and ticking defend all, that starts the clock. you will then have 14 days to send a defence do not send one before as you do not want Lowells to supply things and rubbish your defence always respond the day before date needed to be in.

also see above link to be completed by DX is a good step Note:- as for the poster who states:- , where somebody get an idea that the letter will rubbish a claim at this stage makes me wonder??
