A car park has 2 spaces for electric car charging. The charge port is there and the spaces are painted green. There are no signs up in the car park. There are no restrictions for time etc, I think it is a council car park.

Can I park or wait in them with a non-electric car?

The only thing I can find that could possibly cover it is the Highway Code: Rule 241 -"You MUST NOT park in parking spaces reserved for specific users, such as Blue Badge holders, residents or motorcycles, unless entitled to do so". But without any signs to say so, I'm not sure if they could say it is "reserved"?

Where

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Personally when someone does this to me i have a bad habit of parking across them and blocking them in...

my charge cable is long enough to reach the charge port in this way and if they wish to park in a charge bay then they choose to wait until i return...

If it's a council-run car park, call or email the council and ask to see the traffic order for the car park.

If it's a private car park look for a sign spcifying terms and conditions of parking.

But in any case, try not to be anti-social and block charging points. Other people may need them and be stranded if you park there.

I wasn't planning to be antisocial and park there but its a tiny car park only one near doctors, nightmare getting parked. Only ever seen one car charging about twice ever. So annoying and pointless 2 wasted spaces. Just wondered legality i.e. if partner went into pharmacy & I waited ready to move car if needed.
