Petition Pay £350m per week to NHS or re-run EU Referendum

The Tory Legacy

Record high Taxes, Immigration, Excrement in waterways, energy company/crony profits

Record low: living standards and investment

Crumbling Hospitals, Schools, council services, businesses and roads

If only the Govt had thrown a protective ring around care homes with the same gusto they do around their crooked MPs

“This is specifically not allowed. Mr. Mansour used to be a Cabinet Minister in Egypt, he has given the Tories a huge amount of money, and immediately gets a knighthood.

That seems straightforwardly corrupt.  Shouldn’t they both be in jail?”

Particularly as the imploding UKIP and Leave leaderships including Farage and Banks are cited as Kremlin Trojan horses by international think tank

(referred PDF downloadable)

Banks, despite denying this,

"in his account of the EU referendum campaign, the Ukip donor talked about meeting the Russian ambassador to the UK when he described meeting “a shady character called Oleg” who was attending the party’s annual conference at Doncaster racecourse in September 2015. “He was introduced to us as the first secretary of the embassy – in other words, the KGB’s man in London,” Banks wrote in his book, The Bad Boys of Brexit."

"Banks was one of the first people to be granted a meeting with Donald Trump after the US presidential election, alongside Farage and aides."

and we all should be aware of Trumps alleged Kremlin links.

Waste of time and petition is a joke probably started by a nationalist north of the border. Many people still want Brexit as Britain seems to be doing well at the moment. Seems only the remainers cannot accept that they lost the referendum and still need the EU to hold their hand and change their nappies! I wonder whether the person who started the petition realises that we are still in the EU and are still obliged to give the EU money and will have to for the foreseeable future?

Waste of time and petition is a joke probably

It certainly isnt a joke or a waste of time as evidenced by the extremely fast 'response' by the Tory Brexit camp trying to make people think it has been answered and not bother signing.

Usual sort of misdirecting deceitful tactics one would expect of those who garnered votes by lying.

Should they start a petition to re-run world war two because politicians promised it would be over by Christmas and it wasn't?

both sides used rhetoric, un truths and lies to get their way, however it was not a material part of the negotiations merely an illustration so has no relevance.

It is easier to enter a rich man than for a camel to pass a needle

given that farage itself said that it wld want a 'rerun' if the vote was close re remain....

an 'invitation to treat' you suggest. unlikely to be any treats soon. don't jump on the nhs crisis bandwagon then moaning about the state of the nhs.

£10bn/year already committed (prior to the ref result) up to 2020 the gov't says...(about 18bn/yr short then re the 'treat'). or maybe even more....

https://fullfact.org/health/10-billion-whats-going-on/

but, the result is what it is. and, at least the pretender may had to follow the required due process (and, there's no point in the Lords anymore. by convention, parliament rules that house :))

YES

I am of course lying, but you indicate that is an irrelevance that doesn't matter to you - so yes is your answer and lets get on with a fresh referendum.

I'll look forward to your raising a petition for a re-run of WW2 - good luck.

Ford has given you the rational response, I've given you one that seems more in keeping with your world view.

Brexit is not definite, even if article 50 is triggered. It is a huge task, trying to negotiate a divorce after 40 years. This will end up back in the courts again and if parliament rejects the deal, we might end up with a general election before any exit date.

We could do with some help from you.

Not a chance with Corbyn as the leader of the Labour party unc,

and little (but some) chance even with a Labour change.

We really need by-elections with both Labour and the Tories losing seats.

Labour will, but the Tories probably wont.

Would those who voted Brexit be campaigning as hard for a 2nd referendum had the vote not gone that way? IMHO, they would have just accepted the decision.

Not according to Farage before the result was announced and he thought he was going to lose

Close result 'unfinished business' Farage said.

So it would seem your opinion is not only unfounded CB, its demonstrably incorrect.

maybe not (and maybe so re 'accepting the decision'), after realising that they were embarrassingly duped re the false exit claims (lies) about immigration, nhs spending, etc which were the main reason(s) for their exit vote :)

it prob wld just have been farage. and perhaps ben, bert and ernie if they didnt then change their chameleon suit to suit..

This petition is BS and itself based on a lie.

The claim that £350m a week going to the NHS was played to death and universally established as rubbish well before the referendum. Yet the petition claims that 'the UK electorate was led to believe' it.

Does anyone have any evidence that a single person voted to leave on the basis of the £350m claim?

Glad you agree that the headline red bus claim of the Brexit crew was a lie, so I wont need to yet again repost the videos and news reports of the claims, and the retractions/excuses made after the vote by Farage/Johnson et al.

There were even news programs with members of the electorate stating (just) that as their reasons for voting to leave, so the petitions 'claim' that the electorate were mislead by that headline constantly promoted lie (as you agree) seem reasonable to me.

Do you have any evidence that the HEADLINE lie of the Brexit campaign was NOT a factor and completely ignored by everyone who voted leave?

(other than the lies of those who touted the lie)

People mostly voted leave for emotional reasons i.e feeling of independence. It was a heart decision, without thinking of all of the issues and making a calculation. People like Michael Gove have had a bee in theirbonnet about the EU for a very long time, as have a lot of other EUsceptics,

Once the practical issues start to be discussed, then you will see a lot of people change their minds. The UK will need large numbers of EU migrants for years and freedom of movement changes after any Brexit would not make any difference. The construction industry needs hundreds of thousands of migrants to help build all of the different projects going on around the country. Those who voted leave for independence to control immigration will be very disappointed that their voted would mean zero difference. Once people realise that UK trade deals with countries around the world will often come with immigration visa rights, with the potential to increase net migration, they will be furious.

and the liberal democrats well they live in cloud cuckoo land - headless chickens!

Liberal often base policies on real world evidence, where right wing movements currently aided by Russia are looking to make changes to suit vested interests. Once the truth is realised, there will be people very unhappy with being lied to.

Why can't those who voted Remain accept the decision instead of crying over spilt milk?

My main reason for not supporting Brexit, is the poor standard of referendum campaign and misleading information by both sides.

It is not a love of the EU, which is a flawed organisation.

You don't change a countrys future based on one vote, where many who voted leave had no clue what the deal would be. There should be another vote on the deal, just to make sure it is the clear decision of the majority to leave the EU based on the negotiated divorce arrangement,

Fair enough and after that vote we can have another vote just in case and so on.

I do agree it was a lie but one that nobody believed and as such had no effect on the vote.

I voted remain but unlike yourself I have the capacity to accept outcome.
