To be honest, I saw it as no news is good news.

Until the result had come through, my jobsearch had been suspended.

The assessor gave me 0 points and said that I was in good health.

Somehow my several doctors letters did not count for anything!

Anyway, I asked for a mandatory reconsideration on Wednesday so I have braced myself that I could be waiting up until June for a response.

Their guideline response time is 21 days but it is better not to set myself up for an early response.

I try to look at things like that but I like to know whats going on and do you still get ESA payments while the reconsideration is taking place?

I'm on Universal Credit. My payments continued during the assessment period.

The additional element did not.

They should continue to pay you through out the consideration period as well, it's unfair to leave people without money like that :-x

Maybe my response did not make sense.

I got the basic elements of Universal Credit that I was entitled to but not the additional allowance for those in the Work Related Activity Group.

Oh i see, i don't understand UC tbh :/

I think you are heading into the realm of speculation.

Responses take as long as they take. A couple of reasons for the length of delay.

1) The Decision Maker has a varying case load.

2) The Decision Maker may be conducting various enquiries in relation to the claim.

It is better that you direct these kinds of questions at the DWP

  • 2 months later...

i was placed in the WRAG some months ago and had my first appointment at JCP a few days after,

this was back in April and my work coach said she'd contact me in about 6 weeks time with another appointment but i'm still waiting.

Just wondering is it normal to go months without hearing from your work coach as i'm a bit worried?
