Monopoly chiefs have set up a Christmas hotline to prevent board game bust-ups over the festive period.

The helpline is to open in light of a survey that found 51% of Monopoly games end in a row.

The most common cause of quarrels was due to people "making up the rules as they go along".

The hotline will open from 24th - 26th December, when families will be able to get mediation on any game-based arguments.

Thank goodness for that,a splendid idea and much needed.

I have already booked the Racing Car for my next game.

And the reasons for arguments breaking out

1. People making up rules-:|

2. People being too cocky when winning-

Why not so long as I win

3. Someone buying a property you want, even when they don't need it-

Never

4. People taking too long to take their turn-

Never

5. Someone stealing from the bank-

Sure is tempting to have a hundred or so away

6. Someone deliberately mis-counting their move-

Cough

7. Who gets to be the banker-I have to be

Banker, people already asking me why is it always you

8. The property auction process-

He he

9. Choice over tokens-

Yes

10. What the rules of "Free Parking" are-

Not got a clue.

Just noting the number for help down.Just in case.

The Monopoly Hotline can be reached on 0800 689 4903

10. What the rules of "Free Parking" are-

That really depends on who manages the car park. If it has been contracted out to Parking Eye, then fees may apply.
