Hi,

I left UK at the end of 2012.

I had some small debts that I couldn't pay before leaving I lost my job and had no money.

My total debt was around $900-1000.

Around £500 Credit card Bills,

£350 mobile phone contract payment and

£100-150 council tax.

I am travelling in the next few months and will have an 8 hour layover in Heathrow.

I thought this would be a good chance to have a quick meetup with my old friends since we haven't met in so long.

Since I want to meet my friends during the layover, I'll have to come out of the airport for which I might need a visa.

I am concerned whether I will get in any kind of trouble in the airport due to my previous bad debt.

Will they detain me or stop me?

Will they chase me even in my current country of residence?

Debt in the UK is purely a matter between you and the creditors you owe money to. Nothing to do with border control,

We could do with some help from you.

we don't do anything in this country concerning consumer 'civil' debt

it is NOT a criminal matter

so nothing to do with any boarder control would ever be worried about.

go enjoy your life !!

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

I can confirm that your details will not be flagged on the Border Force systems, the warnings index would only alert the Border Force Officer if there was an arrest warrant for a criminal offence, because you had skipped bail, or because you were on a terrorist watch list.
