Hi all,

On Saturday 19th November,

I parked on raised paving in the Hillsborough leisure pool car park (operated by Vehicle Control Services Ltd) while the car park was full.

Reading older posts about VCS and restricted areas, the advice was to ignore

(e.g. /forum/showthread.php?325746-Vehicle-Control-Services-Parking-Charge-at-Centertainment-Broughton-Lane-Sheffield/page3).

Given recent changes, I guess ignore is the wrong course now, but I'd like to contest the charge of £100.

New double yellow lines have been added around the car park (on the ends of rows), but none were around the raised area.

There are no signs stating it was a restricted area, though I would concede it being paved was a hint.

Does anyone have thoughts on how I should proceed?

Thanks in advance!

dx

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

In short any prohibition is trespass, not breach of contract so they have no hope of collecting the money unless you volunteer it to them.

I guess this was a screen ticket so you now wait for them to send a NTK through the post, which should arrive between 29 and 56 days after the event to make it mean anything.

Then the wording of that has to be absolutely correct or agin no keepr liability.

So, what to do?

WAIT for the NTK and then appeal.

they wont accept the appeal reason but you can use that against them later.
