Hi,

After two notices from Indigo Park Solutions

I have now received a letter from Wright Hassall Solicitors for failing to pay the Penalty Notice, and requiring me to make payment of £196.

The letter states that failure to make payment in full or contact them to discuss repayment 'may result in us recommending to the Car Park Operator that the matter be enforced through criminal court proceedings. Such proceedings would require your attendance at a Magistrates Court.'

Should I ignore this letter or reply,

and if I need to reply what should I reply with?

This is the first time Iv'e ever had to deal with anything like this!

Doesn't say fine nor penalty notice?

Nor criminal court nor magistrates court at all?

Firstly stop panicking - you don't have to respond in their made up time frame and you will not be paying this. Spend some time reading around the forum and you'll get the idea. Others more experienced will be along to advise you further.

With the words 'Indigo', 'penalty' and 'magistrates court', it could relate to a railway car park and a by-law claim.

IF you get dragged to a mahgistrates court they wont get a penny so they are making thigs look far wors than they rerally are (if railway land). You dont owe £196-this is something they have made up and if it was over £200 you would question why- so they are hoping you are frightened into paying them. Ignore this threatogram, Wright Hassal are aptly named

Just had a look at Indigo Parking Solutions. (NOT to be confused with Indigo Parking Services) Bit of a silly name but then they used to be Meteor Parking, another silly name. as far as I can tell they have taken no cases to court this year.

If this is railway land then bylaws would usually be in place and if they are claiming they have the right, they may just be wrong. They just want to confuse people.

Just for info. The two companies named above are one and the same but the Services one used to be Vinci Parking (usually hospital sites)

So not even a right to claim then. I would love to make them show the contract with the landowner. In short, the liklihood of going to court diminishes with every relevation but you still havent told us what it is all about
