Been asked this question as nothing to do with me personally so placing on the forum for clarification.

If a person was made Bankrupt the credit agreement is terminated and any assets belong to the Official Receiver.

When that person is discharged from bankruptcy the original creditor or Official Receiver has no future claim on the debtor.

What happens if it is discovered the debtor is owed a considerable amount of money with the missale of PPI, £9000 in total and confirmed by the original creditor??

That original creditor is using that money to offset the original liability prior to the bankruptcy order. Can the original creditor do that or will Estoppel apply once discharged from Bankruptcy??
