I think they should move the camp to Dover, with a view to settling as many migrants in the UK as possible. Given that Brexit might stop immigration of seasonal workers to pick crops on farms around the country, i think a lof of Brexiteers should support settling migrants in the UK. 😄

We could do with some help from you.

If they are genuine asylum seekers, welcome to them.

Problem is that many appear to be economic migrants.

The agricultural workforce is mostly made up of migrants, so whoever wants to work in that industry should be allowed entry, providing they're not criminals (checks needed) and they really go to work rather then disappear and do something dodgy instead.

They will just set up camp elsewhere.

People forget that there are camps like this in other places including many sites in Greece.

We could do with some help from you.

I agree another camp will more likely be set up which begs the question, is there ever a solution ?.

Well i have a solution to much of these problems.

A massive UN or world Armed forces unit that can intervene in conflicts before they get out of hand. Syria should never have gotten into the mess it is in.

The UN is a waste of time at the moment, as China and Russia would block security council actions, because they have different interests. Also they don't like getting involved in other peoples civil wars, unless they have a direct interest.

With changing climate conditions, there is going to be movement of people and there will have to be agreements in place to resettle people. You can stop wars happening, but you can't do too much immediately to stop land being uninhabitable for people to live.

We could do with some help from you.

Why is it costing the UK 36 million to clear the Calais Jungle, I mean it's not actually on our land is it ?.

Not only will it cost us to clear the Jungle, it has cost us to build the wall and to police the area originally.

One of the reason is the the French protected so far the British borders and they will stop it after the Article 50 will be triggered. Illegal immigrants want to go to Britain so they will be let to do so. Britain gave money to build the wall so all those eager to land in Kent stay in the continent, but this will never work and Britain will have Calais in Kent according to the Daily Mail.

Brexiters better get use to it as this will be increasing considering the crisis in the Middle East and Africa.

yep, the touquet agreement. another daft Major post. nothing to do with brexit. it will be there thereafter, and might prob cost more in the future as france, and other eu countries, become less inclined to cooperate.
