its in the links provided and related to the intended floatation valuation of around 20 Billion - the same sum Cameron was alleged to be lobbying his UK contacts for .. as described in the linked articles

Camerons £200M Pension Pot at the expense of the NHS:

https://www.theguardian.com/business/2021/apr/23/greensill-expected-22bn-flotation-that-could-have-meant-cameron-windfall

Largely a 'usury' Payday loan company, targetting the NHS payroll, apparently made of wind and piss 'with potential' to be valued at £20Bn, Giving Cameron £200M, provided it got £20Bn in taxpayer money lobbied for by Cameron and was helped by Dido Harding and David Prior to get embedded in the NHS payroll mechanism so it was 'too important to fail'

"It concluded: “Credit Suisse is confident Greensill can achieve a valuation in excess of US$30bn [£22bn] equity value.”

Previous reports have suggested that Cameron was granted a stake of about 1% in Greensill for his advisory role, which implies the former prime minister could have been anticipating a windfall of around £200m at that time – assuming the Credit Suisse valuation was achieved."

and if none of the others, read this at least - read them all to get a bigger picture - theres less than an hours slow reading, and probably only about 15-20 mins

Even when the collapse started, it was trying to tout a $30B+ 'valuation

Note also that credit suisse is apparently in the process of buying 'back chunks that could perhaps see them all in jail otherwise

and a US firm involved is buying up the payday loan system - so expect them back at the NHS's door

"The government is bracing for the collapse of GFG Alliance by drawing up plans to run Liberty Steel using public money.

Liberty Steel is currently run by GFG Alliance, owned by tycoon Sanjeev Gupta, which is embroiled in the Greensill Capital scandal. "

"A court filing revealed Greensil had around $5bn of exposure to Gupta’s company, which is Britain’s third-biggest steel company. There are worries that Greensill could have a charge on the Liberty assets and therefore taxpayer money. "

Boris Johnson will not apologise after falsely accusing Labour in the House of Commons of voting against his EU trade deal, the prime minister’s press secretary has indicated.

no doubt thats Johnson the liars press secretaries opinion - but whats the speakers ruling?

and if there isn't one from the speaker, why not? He's quick enough to pull up other people justifiably  pointing out that Johnson is a compulsive/repeating liar in parliament, who unlawfully prorogued it among other abuses.

"Conservative Party staff have been told they have one week to hand over all communication related to renovations of Boris Johnson’s flat in 11 Downing Street or face criminal consequences, according to reports.

The Times and The Sun reported all Conservative Party staff received an email from human resources about the Electoral Commission’s inquiry into how the redecoration work was funded, which told them: “You are put on notice that this is a criminal investigation.”"

as fishermen lose access to Norwegian Fishing grounds, Johnsons Defra negotiators claim:

“We have always been clear that we will only strike agreements if they are balanced and in the interests of the UK fishing industry."

Well the UK fishing industry begs to differ now doesn't it?

... Where Brexit politics so often make a 'good deal'  make a deal impossible - as it they couldn't be anything but inferior to the prior one

Brexit and sustainable fishing is an interesting subject.

Big argument going on between Brexit supporting fishing industry representatives, including some who stood as pro Brexit candidates and UK Government.

Apparently fish stocks in UK waters are pretty poor and taking back control from the EU, was about limiting fishing in UK waters, so fish stock numbers could improve. But as this would take many years and most of the fish UK consumers eat comes from waters outside UK area, the UK is having to try to seek deals. And  this is now more difficult, as the UK is no longer part of the EU.

Brexit was supposed to be about taking back control, but if having control does not make any difference or makes matters worse, then you would question whether the last 5 years of arguments were worth it.

It seems like very short term thinking to me, fish stocks could collapse if they aren't left to grow.

I suppose the situation is worse because talks with Norway broke down and they have a lot of the cod.

Do you actually mean/believe that as stated?

Taking back control of British waters may have been as you state for a very few people involved in the argument

but it was never more than a convenient brexit soundbite for the Brexiters

According to a lady that represents fishing industry who was a candidate for UKIP,  Brexit should have enabled UK to control own waters, so stocks could be managed carefully, but at the same time we could sell massive amounts of seafood to countries all around the world.

But this assumes that UK trawlers can still access all waters outside of UK control and still sell produce to our EU neighbours.  UK seafood industry is really only economically viable, if it can sell produce to Belgium, France, Spain etc.

The point I was making, was that Brexit tried to make it simple about taking back control, but has ended up being a complete mess. What is UK in favour of exactly ? A smaller fishing industry catching sustainably from mostly UK waters or a larger less sustainable industry trying to compete with nations with much bigger trawler fleets ?

According to ... exactly - was she incompetent/clueless or lying?

As there was never anything solid in place o promote/enable that (other than rhetoric) ...

Which was never ever going to happen

The pre-Brexit figures showed that (predominantly), Brits like EU caught fish, and the EU like British caught fish

Astounding that the UK fishing industry either didn't see that or thought they could have their fish and eat it and sell it

or just a soundbite to promote a political agenda which had sod all to do with fishing other than as a false ideology promoting headline

June Mummery, a Brexit Party MEP, has just woken up to the fact that leaving Europe gives us less control over fisheries. From her Twitter feed.

Just a year ago she was saying in the express that Brexit would stop the EU 'stealing' our stocks 'on OUR terms', without mentioning:

* the vast majority of our catches are sold to the EU (which she should know as a fish auctioneer profiting from others work)

* the effects tariffs would have

* The vast majority of the fish we eat is imported

* The United Nations stocks agreement

* The migratory nature of the fish (sic)

* Irish and Scot fishing/territorial waters if they become independent

and of course she's out of one of her income streams LOL

.. but I assume her fish auction company can still auction UK catches to the EU without change ... for now

You can understand how terms like 'mummery' came into use can't you?

June Mummery is the person I was thinking and she  has had many Brexit arguments with James O'Brien.  Recent conversation is a classic, where the call ended in James telling her " I told you so " !

Yes of course "taking back control"  was just a soundbite, but the whole agenda about independence was the reason many voted Brexit.

I have asked many people why they voted Brexit and in many cases, they had nothing against the EU. It was the idea that the UK could be free to trade on its own terms.

I can sense a growing "buyers remorse" as people start to realise the consequences  of their votes.

but how about David Davis?

"Brexit secretary supported banker Ian Hannam in court after accepting lucrative post at his company"

Davis criticised the Financial Services Authority in its pursuit of the City’s leading dealmaker, who was forced to leave his job with JP Morgan after being found guilty of “market abuse” and supported him in his appeal - which lost.

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2017/aug/12/david-davis-linked-to-city-trader-fined-for-insider-dealing

Davis listed his position at Hannams' company – for which he “anticipated remuneration of approximately £34,000 per annum” for six days work a year.

A little reminder of perhaps why there is so much insider reporting of (highly justified) dirt on Johnson and where its probably coming from.

I'm not sure I'm seeing much buyer's remorse, UB. People [and papers like the Express] are just blaming Europe, encouraged by the government.

I was interested to read the other day that Demonic is worried he could go to prison for campaign overspending by the Leave people. He should be more worried about twisting the truth and telling voters things that weren't correct. No wonder they're trying to undermine the Electoral Commission.

Johnson and crew even get away with it when it is a crime

unlawfully proroguing Parliament

Making false statements in the PMs box - and the speaker letting him get away with it
