    • read things properly then...   it clearly says by signing the agreement overleaf ... there is no copy of that..   dx

    • I dont use PayPal, just dont like their business model.   Anyway, like everybody else i opened an account about ten years ago with them , used it once. Sent them an email to cancel immediately after..   Today I received a letter saying that unless I started using this account they would charge me a £9 "none usage fee".   I just wondered, if anyone else has received one of these?
    • I can't remember I'm sorry. It was 2 x £25, each for something different.   It absolutely blew me away, because like you said, 1 minute prior to that the Judge was not entertaining for a second any extra charge.   One min it was like £100, no more. The next it was £150. Just like that.   I wanted to ask why, but the Judge had pretty much said that once he started his final speech, we cold make no further comment. Plus, once he agreed to it, I thought it was pointless to question anyway as it was not negotiable. Yeah this is without doubt that bit that has left the nasty taste in the mouth. I'm absolutely bewildered by it. Unless this is some sort of basic standard charge that can simply be added without question.
    • Hey again! I completely get your point and I agree with you. Again sorry for not writing for weeks, to be honest, I was also waiting for a reply from Amazon (I had to contact them three times, the amazon associates are awful... they don't read your messages and they just don't care in general).   Yes, I have and I just got an email from them actually (2 days ago)... They have finally understood that the item is lost in transit... They told me this: "As the item has been lost in transit, I have referred to our higher team and have raised an investigation for the item missed. (I have been assigned a case ID as well). So I request you to wait for 72 hours until the investigation is completed and we can help you further." We will see if they understood that message I wrote to them about how I did what I was told by the customer service assistant, etc... I am going to send you their reply as soon as I get an email from them. But I feel like the next step will be to send the letter before action. Btw I have read around about the steps required to take a small claim. The only thing I'm afraid of is losing even more money (if I lose), but I guess this is just a risk I have to take. When claiming 2000 I think i can lose around 400 in total.  Will get back to you as soon as I get a reply from Amazon.

I am having two rooms fitted with carpet on two separate days, the first fitting day has been confirmed. There payment dept has since left a message on the answer machine saying the full payment in total needs to be paid before the first fitting even though there are two separate fitting days. I have paid half of the total amount which seems reasonable, can I pay the rest after the first fitting but before the second ?..

Pay the balance and get your carpets fitted...if for what ever reason you suspect that the work is going to be inadequate...why did you give them your business in the first place and not choose a reputable carpet supplier and fitter?

  • 3 weeks later...

Have paid for two rooms to be fitted with carpets, one has been done but other has been delayed as the fitter was taken to hospital (according to company) and as much as this is unfortunate, surly the company needs to get this sorted. Who is, if any one is responsible for any delay ?..

The problem arose because I dealt with the carpet fitter directly in arranging time and date, when I phoned the company directly as carpet fitter wasn't responding to texts, I was then informed he had been rushed to hospital. Carpet had to be reordered as original carpet was in carpet fitters lock up. What a stressful situation.
