Hi I have had a default put on my account in May for something I wasn't aware off.

I rang the company that have recorded it and they said it was with a sister company of theirs.

They have recorded the default at 121 but they said on the phone it's 88.

They are claiming I ordered stuff and never paid for it.

I ordered the items 2 years ago and I paid them weekly till they were paid off, over about 3 months. My bank records show this.

I got no letters or anything regarding this. At 88.00 if I had known I would have paid and put it in dispute as opposed to having a default

What can I do to fix this. I have asked them to send me full statements of the account which they said they will

Hi,

Think you will have to wait until the statements arrive, you could always dispute the default with your credit ref agency and they will then contact whoever placed the default to check whether it's accurate.

Any advice I give is honest and in good faith.:)

If in doubt, you should seek the opinion of a Qualified Professional.

I don't think there's much more you can do until you get the information.

Yes basically, and I am happy to make that payment in full. Is there anyway of getting the default removed

The 27 is made up of delivery and interest charges that hadn't been applied due to some returns I had made the last time I had checked the account.

I am perfectly happy to pay.

It is a genuine mistake

yes thought so

i'd write or email the CEO a pleasant pleading letter.

explain the £27 was a genuine mistake

indicate that the resultant default

it is causing you issues with being able to better things for you family and its future

offer to pay the sum outstanding on the clear understanding that the default is removed

indicate that you feel the additional £12 penalty sums are disproportionate
