Hi there,

Have received an offer from Capital one of £112 saying that they have reduced all charges applied on my account to £12 from £20. I was originally claiming £260.00 plus £42.62 in interest, total £302.62.

Should I proceed with court action? Any advice would appreciated.

Many thanks.

Skeeloj.

Hi Skeeloj - This is standard response from Capital One - send them the rejection letter (found in the bank template library) which accepts the offer as part settlement only and that you will proceed to court proceedings for the remainder.

You will need to start court proceedings - but, in my case, their defence is normally that they will pay in full as a "gesture of goodwill".

Good Luck

Jackie
