Received this letter

which purports to be from Collectica collected a debt from

"Her Majesty's Courts & Tribunal Service"

Can this be for real?

There hasn't been any court papers received concerning this matter.

Somebody called without an appointment at the house.

No one was in but he left his card.

I have no idea who was the original creditor.

I got a feeling its a try on and I would like to refer it the OFT and Financial Conduct people.

Anybody got any ideas, comments welcome ?

Can you please upload as a PDF please

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

This is not a 'try on' at all and it is clear that you have an unpaid court fine. The most common fines are:

Using a TV without a valid licence,

Not providing driver identity to the police?

Speeding

Driving without insurance

If you have no idea what the debt relates to and have never received a summons, then you need to contact the Magistrate Court asap. They can arrange for you to attend court for a Statutory Declaration.

PS: The debt is for an unpaid criminal court fine and accordingly, the enforcement agent would not need to make a prior appointment to attend your property.
