Hi

I'm trying to sort out some credit card debts that I've largely ignored for probably 2 years.

I'm hoping to be in a position to offer full and final settlements.

I've gathered my paperwork and worked out where these debts are up to.

Capital One have passed my debt on to Apex and

Barclaycard have passed one on to MK Rapid Recoveries.

Both these companies wrote to me in July 2015 asking me to contact them to arrange payment plans.

I didn't, and I've heard nothing since.

Should I write asking for proof that they own the debt,

or just write offering the full and final?

Any advice is much appreciated.

or do absolutely nothing......

paying off these debts

that appear to have been sold to debt buyers

will not ever improve your credit rating

if they have already been defaulted.?

don't forget that DCA's are NOT BAILIFFS

they have NO SUCH LEGAL POWERS.

only the same as you or I

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

When you check your Credit Report, check the default date that MKRR have placed because they had a habit of placing the default date from when they purchased the debt and not when the original creditor defaulted you.

Stigman

NEVER telephone a DCA

If a DCA rings you, refuse to go through the security questions & hang up!
