Hi maybe someone can advise.

 

My niece who has adhd applied and got a job and she told them of her condition when she applied. The contracted hours were 12 per week, Tuesday 2 till 6, Wednesday 2 till 6 and Thursday 2 till 6. She was also told if she wanted she could also work 4 hours overtime on Mondays.

 

She did her induction day on a thursday and started working the following tuesday, wednesday & thursday.

 

When she went to work this tuesday, they said they were sacking her for being unreliable, when she asked in what way, she was told she didn't turn up on either of the mondays to do overtime. She explained that nobody had asked her to work the extra hours but they said she should have looked at the rota on the wall. Surely someone should have explained this to her after the first monday she missed instead of waiting for her to miss the second one.

 

Can she do anyting about this ?
