Did DVLA send you a new V5c? What is the DocRef date?

Simplest to pay the Bailiffs when they arrive (if you have the money/Credit card), rather than have your car seized.

The fee will prob increase, due to additional Bailiff visit.

It's a motability car. I informed them of my address change straight away. My new insurance (with new address) didn't come through until 22/7/15. Council sent the fine out on 20/7/15.

Yours is an excellent example of why Out of Time witness statements exist. As long as the form is completed properly, I would expect your application to be accepted. If so, the warrant will be revoked and the local authority may issue you with a new Notice to Owner allowing you the opportunity to either:

Challenge the contravention......

Or pay the charge at the earlier discounted rate.

Hi Big Amzz,

As BA has stated, yours is a good example of why these exist. It is important they are completed properly, but don't be tempted to part with money for completing one, unless you prefer to do so. There is plenty of very good, free help out there for these, but some businesses will still try to charge you.

  • 1 month later...

Well I got my decision today and it has been rejected. I'm actually speechless. I supplied evidence to prove I wasn't at the address when the PCN was issued and that I changed my address straight away.

They have given no reason and say it will cost me money if I want to appeal again.

Without knowing what you put on the TE7 it is difficult to give an opinion as to why your application has been rejected or to suggest whether you should consider submitting an N244 (to seek a review).

There is a fee to seek a review but this is waived if you are in receipt of qualifying benefits.
