End of March I received a letter from the hmrc telling me I was overpaid working tax credits by almost £200. Fair enough! They stated I would receive a letter shortly with instructions how to repay the amount.

It's almost end of April and I've received nothing yet.

Should I worry?

I wouldn't want them to contact me later asking me to pay up fines or penalties.

Should I make the first move? Or is it normal procedure?

Thanks

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

didnt say you were

but

you might find that in trying to sort this out with HMRC

they'll say its been passed to a DCA

deal with HMRC direct

if you are 100% happy you do owe this

and you have checked HMRC can prove their case with paperwork!

I eventually rang the tax credits helpline. They told me that the repayment hasn't been processed yet and it might take weeks or months.
